Centre for Research, Entrepreneurship and Project Management (CREPM) Joins hands with Societe Francaise d’Exportation des Educatives, France


Centre for Research, Entrepreneurship and Project Management (CREPM) is a business unit of BA ISAGO University College which is involved with Research, Corporate Training, Consultancy and Community Engagement. The College, represented by Mr. Oscar Chiwira, Dean, Faculty of Commerce recently joined hands with the Ministry of Education and Skills Development together with Societe Francaise d’Exportation des Educatives to conduct a study for the re-organization of Technical and Vocational Education and Training Programme (TVET). The purpose of the research study is to conduct a review and comprehensive analysis of empirical data on TVET Programmes offered in Botswana and to present findings and recommendations in a clear logical report.

BA ISAGO Participates in Private Tertiary Institution Association Competitions


BA ISAGO University College realises the importance of sports in students' life. Sports provide an opportunity for young people to increase their physical activity and develop physical and social skills. Our athletic team participated in the Private Tertiary Institution Association Competitions. The students showed talent and brought home 3 medals which made the College proud. Saul Pateletso from Francistown Campus walked away with a bronze medal in the 200m race.

BA ISAGO Prepares to Train Pre-school Teachers


Pre-school education is a practical strategy in strengthening and improving the education system. The Revised National Policy in Education 1993 strongly recommended pre-school education as critical and vital in laying a strong foundation for Botswana Education System. In view of the above, BA ISAGO developed a Bachelor of Education in Early Childhood Development.  The inclusion of pre-school education at primary schools in Botswana has led to a huge demand of qualified pre-school teachers. It has now become international best practice for any education system to make provision for pre-school education.

BA ISAGO appoints its Inaugral President


BA ISAGO University College's Board of Directors, appointed Dr. Roshen Kishun as the inaugral President of BA ISAGO University College. The President will be faced with many roles such as overall strategic planning and the sustained performance of the University.Dr Roshen Kishun is rejoining the College as The President and was with the College before as an Executive Director.Dr Kishun has several years of experience in the higher education sector which will come as an advantage to the College and take the College to greater heights. He is a founding member of the International Education Association of South Africa (IEASA) and also a member of the Atlas International Advisory Group.


BA ISAGO Introduces New Programmes


BA ISAGO recently introduced three new programmes, two in the Faculty of Education and one under the Faculty of Law and Paralegal Studies. i.e. Bachelor of Education in Early Childhood Development, Bachelor of Education in Social Studies and Diploma in Law.  The introduction of the Bachelor of Education programmes was in response to a clarion call by the Ministry of Education to upgrade all teachers with Certificates and Diplomas to higher qualifications. This does not only show the College’s commitment to offer credible and market driven qualifications but also shows how the College is getting closer to becoming a fully fledged University. BA ISAGO intends to offer all of the above programmes in July 2013.

BA ISAGO participates at BTEF 2013


BA ISAGO University College participated at the Botswana Tertiary Education Fair and Conference 2013 held at Fairgrounds over the past week to sensitise students about market-driven programmes of international repute, offered by the institution.
BA ISAGO ‘s Vice President, Academic Affairs Ruramayi Tadu noted that they were also giving their prospective students an opportunity to apply at their stall, and also have their applications processed at the Fair so that they could be issued admission letters on the same day. He said it was always good to
participate at the Fair, as it offers them an opportunity to meet thousands of students all in one place over a few days. 
BA ISAGO stall had an overwhelming response by students and this is what some of the potential students visiting BA ISAGO stall at the fair had to say about BA ISAGO.

Ofentse Ramojela, 19
“My passion is in Risk Management and I hear BA ISAGO would be the best for
me if I decide to take that path. I travelled from Palapye just to attend this fair so
I could make a right decision for myself, and I am very much interested in this
institution because it caters for my educational interests.”

Keotshepile Legakwa, 17
“I wanted to do Law but my points do not allow me do the course that I want
right now, so I am going to do one of the certificate programs here. The school
has very reasonable conditions of study. My plan is to do a certificate program
first and continue with law on a later stage.”

Tshepo Sebenyane, 20
“I know a lot of people who study at BA ISAGO and most of them have referred
me to the university to come and see if any of the programmes may interest
me. They believe it to be one of the good ones. I want to study something to do
with business.”

Gofamodimo Kabasia, 19
“I want to be in Real estate and I hear they have a really good real estate
program here. From what I hear, BA ISAGO is a very good school so I wouldn’t
mind trying it out myself.”

BA ISAGO’s programmes are accredited by both the Botswana Training Authority (BOTA) and Tertiary Education Council (TEC), which are two quality assurance bodies that regulate tertiary education in Botswana. The University College strives to offer excellent facilities with dedicated academic and
administrative staff who facilitate learning, training and research.
